They're talking about the Bush years. Even Romney had to smile.

Loosing Your Religion
by ballistic inchanging your religion for another or completely loosing your religion and or your belief in god, or turning to an agnostic point of view is really quite a big change.
for not wanting to state the obvious, when you change your religion, it changes not just the concept of religion in your mind, but your entire world view, or the way you perceive things work in the universe.
how does such an enormous change happen?.

Me personally, I became agnostic before I left the JWs. It was my questioning of the bible, and god in general, that made it easy for me to think critically about everything else about the religion. I haven't had any desire to study any other religion, because I realized, while not all were as extreme as the JWs, they were all built upon the same lie. It was a pretty smooth transition to atheism for me.

Reality Shows
by Satanus ini have slowly gotten more and more into watching reality shows.
from a lowly beginning, where the networks viewed them as trash tv, they are increasing in number.
they have all kinds of them, now.

I feel like an old man on this thread as I remember watching the first season of the Real World faithfully.
I actually liked the first couple of seasons, myself. The people actually had personalities when the show first aired. It's become really superficial, though. Now it's just frat boys and party girls, and seeing who will hook up with who.

I like a few of them, like Billy the Exterminator, Storage Wars and Pawn Stars. And Ghost Hunters is kind of a guilty pleasure.
But I've never gotten into the competition ones, such as Survivor and American Idol. And Jersey Shore I find absolutely vapid.

I know very few JW window washers and cleaners
by MC RubberMallet inmaybe these occupations are quoted to make a point, but it loses meaning when maybe 1% of brothers i know actually has these as jobs..

Not every JW I knew did cleaning work. But most of the ones I knew who pioneered did. My oldest brother, and both of my sisters are regular pioneers who sustain themselves this way. I did too, when I auxiliary pioneered. It's work that was easy to get, and you could, for the most part, set your own hours. My sister, and brother-in-law, do quite well financially in their business.

Seven new Saints announced - 2 from U.S. - Mother Teresa overlooked.
by james_woods inrather ironic, i thought - the day after italy put the earthquake scientists in jail:.
http://apnews.myway.com/article/20121021/da21tb6o1.htmlthe word on mother teresa is that yet another verified miracle is required by the rules.the inside word is that there is still too much negative contraversy made my a number of women who worked for her.it just seems that this current pope is never - ever - going to be popular to even a fraction as much as the previous.

Didn't Mother Theresa also have a bout of atheism towards the end of her life?

So tell me about the Tigers other starting pitchers outside of Verlander
Fister, Sanchez and Scherzer have all been lights out in the playoffs. Their combined ERA, along with Verlander, is 1.02. It was under 1 for the Yankees series. Not too shabby.
I've heard the Tigers bullpen isn't very good, is that true like you say ?
Especially their late inning guys. Their regular closer, Valverde, has struggled to say the least.

Now, if the Cubs were in the World Series
Then I would be taking the Mayan prediction very seriously.

Rooting for the Tigers. I just don't know if their bullpen can hold up. At the very least their starters should be well-rested. My prediction is Tigers in six games. Their starting rotation is brutal, especially Verlander.
I think we can all agree- thank god the Cardinals aren't in it again.

And if there were people on these continents - how did Noah preach to them without the benefit of modern day travel?
Carrier pigeons.
